      Or is there a latest version available for such datatypes? (e.g. geometry, geometrycollection, point, etc.)

      Currently we dont have support for spatial datatypes. Its in the TO-DO list but I cannot comment on the exact version of SQLyog that will support the feature.

      This has been close to 3 years old. Do you have any plans to offer support for it?

      OMG – I realy like SQLyog but you have got to put some work into GIS.

      Even something as simple as having geometry in alter table. Really it's not that hard. GIS is everywhere now. GPSs in cars and Google maps has kicked the GIS interest up a level.

      I know GIS is not a big thing in MySQL. PostGris is kicking everyones a–.

      PLEASE put some work into GEO functions before your next release?! PLEASE.
