      Hello,

Just a quick question. Are there any plans on having database diagrams at some point in SQLYog? I'd think that to be very useful feature indeed. Its a bit hard to manage foreign keys without some kind of visual tool.

      Just a thought.

Took me a while to find it there 🙂 But its good that there are plans to work on it. In the meantime, are there any alternative suggestions? Just until its done – would help 🙂

Mike Zinner who wrote this is now at MySQL where it is working on the 'workbench' program. It is same type an corss-platform (java-based). But still pretty bugge .. check yourself at http://www.mysql.com

I've used it a little bit. It's better than DBDesigner4 was (in my opinion), but that's to be expected, whether it's a bit buggy or not.

You've been busy with that FAQ, Peter. Good job. I've been waiting for the GUI builder for SQL log so that I can print out the database schema in a nicely formatted manner to use as documentation, without having to go back and create it (and any changes I made if I originally made it) in Visio.

I've tried to download but it wasn't found. Oh well, I guess Visio is to the rescue 🙂 At this moment I have tables printed out and linked with dry-erase marker on the whiteboard… rather easy to maintain. But still, having it built into SQLYog would be a life savior.

If you can compile your own version, all source code is publically available via MySQL's Subversion server:

      http://dev.mysql.com/tech-resources/sources.html

I don't think I'm allowed to redistribute the file that I found which was linked to according to the license, but I don't have that computer nearby to tell for certain. Sorry. Goodluck with Visio. I hope your database structure isn't too big. 😀
