Hi,
I'm having a problem that's exactly opposite what the Vista users are experiencing. SQLYog seems to want to use the sqlyog.ini
file contained within the C:Program FilesSQLyog Community directory and not the sqlyog.ini located in the Application Data directory for each user.
I actually want SQLYog to use the configurations in users' Application Data directories- how can this be done? Is there some way to
tell SQLYog which sqlyog.ini file to use? I checked the registry and there weren't any entries for SQL Yog other than pointers to the installer and things like that. Also, there doesn't seem to be anything in the C:Program FilesSQLyog Community that would control this either.
If anyone has an idea as to what I could do, I'd appreciate it very much.
Thanks,
DD

Next release (6.06) will fix this! Hopefully on first Friday after now! Or beginning of next week!
But I don't think we will make it user specific. probably to program dataMONyog …

Thanks for the info. Just to be clear, by fixing this you mean you're going to allow people to choose, or are you going to only read sqlyog.ini from one specific location? I was looking for a way to provide different users with different connection settings and so I'm very much biased towards having a choice about where it's read from.
I'm curious about the current version though- how does it know where to look for sqlyog.ini?
Thanks

Plans were to read from a specific location only.

You may have noticed allready that we in fact save to user's 'AppData' folder. So every user will have his personal sqlyog.ini.
