Complete newbie to these forums.
I'm using Enterprise v9.63 on Windows 7. I am having a fairly annoying problem with the connection dropping constantly.. If I am working away running queries frequently it is fine, however if I don't run anything for sometime 10mins or so, when I run a query it just hangs for some time saying “executing query”, then after about 20 – 30 seconds (sometimes more) the query will run. This problem exists across multiple hosts. Until recently I used Vista and the Community version of SQLyog on the same hosts which worked perfectly all the time with no connection hanging issues. These issue only started when I moved to Windows 7 and Enterprise.
Has anyone come across this before? Are there any tests I can run to try find out what is wrong? Any help would be much appreciated as I am on the verge of pulling my hair out at this stage..
I should also mention I have tried using the Sessions Idle Timeout setting and this did not fix my problem.
