Hi. I just upgraded from 3.52 to 3.71 and am disappointed with the new data entry view.
I'm having a big problem with the fact that the columns in this view automatically resize to show only the entered data every time I come back to the table. I want to be able to see my column headings, but for columns that contain only one or two characters of data, this is impossible because they are automatically resized. In the previous version I used, you could change the size yourself, and it would be remembered. This was much, much better.
Also, I really hate these new massive buttons for TEXT column types. They start tiny (as in the old version), but as soon as you add any text, they become massive, bigger than the actual window, and when you scroll to the right you can't see any subsequent columns unless you click on the actual scroll bar arrow. This is really frustrating. It would be much better if they simply showed the first few words of text, then opened an edit window once you click on them.
I'm new to mySQL, and I like to add data using a GUI, which is why I bought SQLyog. I think it's a very powerful tool, but the data entry facilities are quite poor really. I hope you can improve this in the next version.

Select Tools -> Preferences and un-check the option: Truncate Column Headers To Max Data Size

Doh! I should have really looked for that first, shouldn't I?? Thanks for the tip.
Are there any plans to improve the TEXT/BLOB editor windows though? It would be useful to have them resizable for a start.

You would be able to resize the BLOB window in SQLyog Max.
