Is there a work around or a different app that supports long user names?

My ISP requires my user name to be my domain prefixed by the db name.

      ie: databasename_subdomain_domain_com

webyog doesn't connect due to a hard coded limit on the user name length.

any other apps out there that do? any plans to support long user names?

Are you facing this problem in the connection window?

Yes, it comes up with an error 1045 “access denied for user: [email protected] (Using password = yes)” the 'm' of .com is cut off, I assume because the user name is too long but that's what my ISP forces me to use – it's my database, plus the domainname which is long due to there being a subdomain. I've tried to use phpMyAdmin and it comes up with the same error.

Perhaps this is a mySQL limitation?

Looking at the User table, the maximum length of a UserName is 16 characters 😮
