Can someone please help? I'm pulling my hair out over this one! I enabled http tunnelling and can connect to my mysql server. However it only lists “test” as the database I have. It doesnt show the database I want to use (mypark_parkwood). So I try entering it in the connection window in the database field (and leave all other fields blank). I then click on connect. The database name then shows up in the program with a plus sign next to it. So I go to click on the database… and I get this error:

      Error No. 1044

Access Denied for user: '@localhost' to database 'mypark_parkwood'

Can anyone please help? Thanks, mike

Are UserID and password correct ?

And dows that user have the privilege to access that database ?

Can you connect with php-based tools (i.e. phpmyadmin)

If all that seems to be OK, then answer please this:

Where is it at ? (ISP/webhotel or a server totally under your own control)

MySQL , php and sqlyog version ? (I suppose that php is up and running correctly on the host ?)

I have tried leaving the userID and password blank, ive tried filling them in with everything I could think of. Maybe im not filling them in with the right info?

Yes i can go into phpmyadmin through cpanel and edit the database. The server is at westnic, which is a web host provider.

      php version: 4.3.10

      mysql: 4.0.23-standard

      sqlyog: latest version

If you want to try yourself to access it… I can contact you privately if you want and send you the info. I really want to buy the full program but need to make sure I can actually connect to my database before I do.

      THanks! mike

I talked to Mike over MSN and he was forgetting to provide the password.
