When I try to connect with http tunnel I must connect to another host where the db is seperate from the webserver. I enter this host in the field and the 'are you sure' dialog pops up. When I say yes I am sure, nothing happens. No error message and no connection.
Same thing happens when I rename the SQLyogTunnel.php to something else. It asks to confirm to connect to something without that name in the file.
Maybe it is working and just not able to connect but an error message would be helpful so I could stop banging my head. 🙂
Thanks

In case of HTTP tunneling a warning pops up if you enter a host name different from 'localhos' as this is the correct setting most of the time (in your case it is not so). If no error message is displayed, then the connection can be made. Have you tried to click on 'test connection' button?

Are you using BETA 4?
Are you able to view the list of your databases in the Object Browser?

Yes this is beta 4.
Clicking on 'test connection' and 'connect' provide the same results, no error message and no connection. It appears that it does nothing.
thanks

This is strange! Clicking on “Test Connection..” should either show you an error message or it should show a Messagebox reporting the MySQL server version running on the remote host.
Are you able to get past the connection dialog?
Could you please try accessing the tunnelling URL from a browser and send us the results?

This is the output of the page on the server:
Quote:This PHP page exposes the MySQL API as a set of webservices. This page allows SQLyog to manage a MySQL server even if the MySQL port is blocked or remote access to MySQL is not allowed.
Visit Webyog to get more details about SQLyog.
Still can't get a connection or an error message using test or connect.

We are unable to duplicate the problem at our end.
Can you provide us temporary access to your web server?
This would help us resolve the problem quickly.
If that is possible, mail the details to [email protected]
