Please can you add a view that shows side by side the versions that have changes detected. i.e. source vs destination (merge/diff type functionality would also be nice, with colours to show deletions and addtions…but this can wait….just a plain text side by side view of the difference between 2 SPs or the alter statement for a table, would help in deciding whether to select it or not).

I am afraid I am not able to understand you very well.

What are the 'versions' that you are talking about?

      MySQL version? Anything else?

      Please explain more in depth!

      What I mean is.

The synch tool shows that two functions differ between source and target. However there is no way to *see* the differences….or to compare them side by side.

      Does that make sense?

      oh …. 🙂

      ..yes that makes sense.

You request an option to display the CREATE STATEMENT. Right?

That makes sense because once you open the 'structure sync' tool you cannot work with the program main window. But I would prefer another solution where the windows opened in its own thread so that the main window could be used simutaneously.

I hate writing this in your public forum, but if you want a look at a VERY good comparer implementation please look at

EMS Database Comparer 2006 for MySQL (www.sqlmanager.net)

There are are problems with it, which is why I didn't buy a copy, but I think if you look at their strong points, you'll find them useful in SQLyog. Specifically their “diff” functionality.

      Check it out.

Any movement on this feature request….only been 4 years….I notice it made it to Google code from this feature request (http://www.webyog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3663&st=0&p=15561&hl=diff&fromsearch=1&#entry15561), but still nothing.

Frankly this should be a must have for SQLYog.
