Hello,
We are not able to reproduce this in our side.
Can you give some more information to reproduce this issue?
What is the server version?
Is it happening with all users?

MySQL 5.0.18-nt-max
This occurs about 90% of the time when you choose a different user from the one that came up by default.

hmmm, still not able to reproduce…..
we have a debug build here:
http://www.webyog.com/downloads/betas/not_…g52EntDebug.exe.
Make sure to install this binary to a separate folder.
There is a BACKBOX screen that will display when the main window of SQLyog crashes. Please copy it, and attach here.

Excellent, I will try to capture a debug log of the other crashing problem I am experiencing as well.
Here are the results from the problem when trying to manage permissions.
Please note that I am on an AMD64X2.. Not an Intel Dual Core as the log states… I am running WinXP SP2 with all the latest patches.

Now the debugger doesn't catch the error anymore, but the standard error message does come up at least.

Hello,
We found one file is missing in the latest debug build. So we updated it, this will give you the correct debug information. You can download it from this address: http://www.webyog.com/downloads/betas/not_…g52EntDebug.exe .

Looks like this issue is resolved with Beta 6 on my end. I will report back if it occurs again.

While SQLyog no longer crashes when Managing Permissions (ie I can see the user list, select the different users etc) existing permissions do not show up in their respective schemata..
ie. I have a user 'bookstore' which has SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE permissions for the schemata 'bookstore' (This is already set up via the command line and works via web application). I go to look up the bookstore user in Manage Permissions… and no permissions are checked off at all..
So it's nice it doesn't crash, but I'm still stuck with using the command line or MySQL Administrator for this function.
