Any chance of a version of sqlyog that will run entirely from a USB memory card?
This would mean i could administer my databases from virtually any PC in the world.
That would be fab

I think FREE/COMMUNITY editon does! I installed to a USB-stick (K:SQLyog) and I can navigate to K:SQLyogSQLyog.exe in Windows Explorer and start it on another PC. It is a little bit slower than when running from harddisk.
Do you request a 'autorun'?
With SQLyog ENTERPRISE the License is a per Client License. But I really do not remember if it prompts for registration details as a part of the installation proces or on first start! If someone purchases a 5-user license I wouldn't mind that they used it on 5 computers like this. If someone wants to use it on 80 computers .. well then contact Webyog Sales! The nice thing for a PC-supporter for instance is that he will bring his own sqlyog.ini with him around! And it would be no be deal to give an option to have 'favorites' under the installation folder either.
Was it ENTERPRISE you had in mind?
Nailing the license to some biometric is also a possibility! You can have a USB stick with a fingerprint reader today!

That's great. I tried it with the Community edition and it does work. Guess i should have tried it first.
It keeps the connection settings, but loses the favourites as these are stored on the PC.
Any chance that the directory the favourites are stored in could be specified by the user?
I Currently use Enterprise on my PC, but the community edition is great for a flash drive. Thanks

I had purchased Enterprise version and I love it, but I am wanting to create a USB drive that I can carry around with me and in case I need to do something on my website, be able to run sqlyog. I see where the community version looks like it might work and that's great, but do we agree that the Enterprise version won't work?? I guess the licensing may not allow it if it's really by Client. I'm a one man company trying to do my best, so any help would be appreciated.
