This is my first post, so a big hello to all the regulars and developers.

I've not found an answer to this query in the docs on in the forum, so I'm wondering if anyone could help me.

I connect to a lot of different databases and I'd like to be able to have shortcuts to particular connections on my desktop, or a quicklaunch bar or where ever. Is it possible to pass paramters to the sqlyog executable to ask it to use a particular connection when it loads? Is there another way?

I'm running the free version, v5.19.

Not it is not possible that way!

Are you sure that you understand the connections manager?

      See attached picture!

You give every connection a NAME and the connection details for each is saved in the sqlyog.ini file.

That's right, but I'd like to bypass the connection manager by passing a parameter to the SQLYog executable. For example:

      sqlyog.exe -load mySQLyogDatabaseConnection

      With puTTY one can say:

      putty.exe -load myHost

Something similar would be very useful for me. Any ideas?

      no idea!

Unlike Putty SQLyog is designed for multible connections.
