SQLyog 5.11 Enterprise loads, briefly displays, and disappears with no errors displayed or posted to the Event Log.
Happens both with upgrading old version and fresh installation.
I'm using XP Pro SP2.

I am having the same issue. I just upgraded from 5.02 Enterprise. I uninstalled the old version and installed the new version, with a reboot in between. SQLyog flashes for a second, and then closes. There are no error messages.

Does it disappear after showing you the connection dialog or before that?
By fresh installation do you mean that installed SQLyog Enterprise 5.11 on a new folder or SQLyog.ini was present in the folder?

After double-click, spit-second flash of the app.
Use, fresh meaning, whole directory deleted, INI and all.

Thanks for your bug report and we are working diligently to solve it.
Can you tell me three things:
1.) Are you working as a non-admin user?
2.) Can you open up the sqlyog.ini from the SQLyog installation folder and set AutoComplete=0 under [GENERALPREF] section and try again?
3.) Were some existing Personal folder files were present from the old installation?
Also, starting with SQLyog 5.11, we are using dynamic library (libmysql.dll) instead of statically linked MySQL client library (which was there in earlier versions). Can you just check and let me know if there are other copies of libmysql.dll? If there are other copies of libmysql.dll, can you just rename them temporarily and try again.

v5.12 BETA has been released. It is now linked with the static library which was used in all pre-5.11 released.

For me, this version also crashes.

Can you remove the folder C:Documents and Settings{username}Application DataSQLyog and try again?
Replace {Username} with your login name. Application data is a hidden folder so you have to configure windows to show hidden files and folders.

Beta2 crashed, the deleted “Documents And Settings{Username}Application DataSQLyog” and
it ran fine.

Do you have a space or any special character in your Windows username?
“Documents And Settings{Username}Application DataSQLyog” IS the problem, but we are not able to reproduce it in any of our development machines. The only thing that can change between multiple installations is the Windows Username ({UserName})
What is your EXACT Windows username?

FYI, I have installed SQLyog Enterprise 5.12 Beta2 and removed the SQLyog folder. The program is running fine now.

Thanks for your feeedback!
Could you answer:
Did you try starting 5.12 without first removing that folder?
If you did, did you then experience crash with 5.12 too?
