1.) After doing an export (table or database or otherwise) the shortcut keys do not seem to work (i.e.: Alt+L to close the export window, or Alt+E to reactivate export for some unknown reason). I would suggest to disable/gray-out the export button until a different selection is made for export. But yeah, the close button's shortcut doesn't work after export.

2.) Result pane's style error: The X (for close) is grayed out, which is fine since you can always use Ctrl+2 (or Edit -> Hide) although it would be nice to have this active rather than disabled just for the sake of usefulness (even though I prefer to use the keyboard). Either way, the minimize and maximize (I'm assuming) controls are not there, but there is a visual style for where they would be, showing a highlight on hover.

      1) It works here with 5.1 BETA 2

      2) Confirmed. It is always 'greyed out' The X should close one single tab. Not the pane if I understand correctly. But it is not available with 5.1 BETA either. The X should be active when a RESULT tab is selected.

      This is an expected behavior.

The X on the right hand side in the Result pane is grayed out as it does not allow you to close any tab. The X is not present to hide the result pane but to close a tab if required. When having multiple tabs, the X is not grayed out in the editor pane and you can use it to close the tabs.

      @ ritesh

But it does not work as you describe it here either. See attached. In this situation it should be possible to close the active RESULT tab. Right?

      But X is 'greyed out'.

BTW: I would prefer that the X was on the tab itself!

Nope. We don't allow any tab to be closed in the result pane. If you see the UI of FireFox, there is only one X for all the tabs. You click on it to close the currently selected tab. Since we don't allow closure of result pane tab, it is disabled.

All the multi-tab environment tools use one common X for all the tabs. So we are just following the standard 🙂 Even VS 2005 has the same UI.

I don't know about 'standards'. My Opera Browser can be configured to show a close button on each tab. That's nice actually.

But if I understand correctly, then it will never be possible to close a tab in that pane. I so I don't think the X should display at all. But absolutely not important, I think! But actually I think it would be better to be able to close down (and hide!) a RESULT-tab.
