Hey, I'm just switching over from a freeware version to a paid enterprise version.
But the procedure is strangely unexplained. I've chosen my product and license type, clicked download, and been presented with a choice between a Free version and a Trial Version.
Frankly, I don't want either one. I want a Paid version, and I'm willing to pay for it. But I didn't see that choice on the list.
Can someone point me to the correct URL? Or if I am supposed to download the Trial version or the free version and then register, can you say which one? And how? Very confusing.
Your sales could be higher if you made this easier.
Thanks,
Steve
P.S. It's the “Enterprise” version and I'm purchasing it for use in my company. So I'd really like to send a URL to the CFO and let him handle the purchase. Registering on the forum isn't really an option for that. Is there a simple URL I can send him so he can buy a license on the company card?

did you go here:
http://webyog.com/sqlyog/buysqlyog.php
*Buy SQLyog* is in on the very top of the right-hand menu. I cannot see that it can be much easier.

Let me add that with 5.0 distribution system was changed. The TRIAL cannot be upgraded. You must have a new binary build. You will have a link to the download sent by e-mail.
I don't remember if the download link will display in your browser after your payment has been confirmed.

Almost forgot to ask:
* How can I keep the settings in my current free version when I upgrade?

You just need to copy SQLyog.ini from the FREE installation folder to the Enterprise installation folder.
Better still, install it in the same folder only 🙂
BTW, you will be sent a link to the Enterprise binary over mail for your safekeeping.
