  I just read about the Free edition of SQLYog on the MySQL newsletter, so I gave SQLYog a try. Being neither happy or unhappy with phpMyAdmin, I always try all MySQL admin tools.
  
  My first impression was : Compared to other competitors' products, including MySQL Administrator and MySQL Query Browser both from MySQL AB., SQLYog is pretty FAST!! Even connecting to a remote site, the response is almost instant. The features look pretty rich. I started thinking buying an Enterprise copy.
  
  However… non-ASCII characters (in my case, Traditional Chinese) are all gargled, which means charset and collation are not supported yet.
  
  The product plan stated it would be addressed in version 5.2. I really hope you can finish it ASAP or I have to wait for another couple of months before it is really useful to me. 🙁
  
  However, keep the good job.

  5.2 BETA is expected in mid-Feb.
