      I set up the server tab, correctly I think since when I test the connection it reads “connection successful”, but when I pust connect to establish a permanet connection I get the promo box which reads “This feature is not supported in this edition of SQLyog.”

      I'm using HTTP tunneling.

      Oops. Just saw this comes with the paid edition. How do you log on then in the free edition?

      Any ideas?

      You wrote it yourself. Tunnelling is not included with the free version of Sqlyog.

      If you can't connect directly to the MySQL port (normally 3306) you must use the Enterprise version.
