      I am having difficulty importing data from an excel file to mysql. I want to pull data from the file on my machine, but I am getting confused with all of the decisions in the wizard. Is ODBC the direction I should go to import this? Will the hyperlinks import also?

      Yes, you should use the ODBC import wizard to get data out of excel worksheets. Unfortunately, I have never tried to import hyperlinks, but I don't think they can be imported because they are not part of the cell object's value property.
