      Like many people I am new to this. I am trying to connect to MySQL using MySQLyog and I keep getting an error 2003. I talked with my hosting company and they say I have to connect through a socket as MySQL is behind a strict firewal. I have plugged this into the appropriate field and filled in the rest of the information. It keeps coming up Error 2003. Can you use this program using a socket connection if so what am I doing wrong that does not allow me to connect?

      You cannot connect to a MySQL server behind a firewall.
