      I'd like to incorporate the Schema Synchronization Tool into my deployment process (to verify that my staging database schema matches my production database schema). As far as I can tell, SJA only supports synchronizing data across already identical databases. I'd love to see schema diff available in SJA so this wouldn't be a manual step during deployment.

      It is an old reqeust actually. It is recorded here: http://code.google.com/p/sqlyog/issues/detail?id=560

      The problem is that a non-interactive program will have to use a simple rule.

      How about a tool that simply creates the same diff script the GUI would if I'd selected to sync all objects (tables, sprocs, etc.)?

      Being able to script the creation of that sql script alone would be helpful. The consumer could then determine if the script was empty (schemas identical).
