      Hi

      Having just obtained this impresive tool, I suspect that I didn't understand what it does – not surprising as I know am no database hero!

      What I want/need to do;

      • I have two databases, with the same structure, but different data.
      • I want to first of all find out what is different, by running some kind of comparison query
      • Then I want to chose which data I take from the master and copy to the second database on a table by table basis.

      How do I do this?

      Thanks for help – please, formulated for an idiot!

      There is no tool in SQLyog doing this. The closest is the 'import external data tool' what you may use with the WHERE-clause option.

      That is sad news as this is the primary function I need. I guess I have to write it off as another tool I don't need or can't use.

      Maybe someone can point me in the right direction of an appropriate tool?

      Thanks for the information, though, Peter.

      Regards

      David
