      Hello everybody,

      How can I set up a database to have others connect to it instead of using Localhost?

      You should explain what problem you are facing now. But read this FAQ:

      so most important

      1) create 'someuser'@'%' with what privileges you want ('%' means 'any host').

      2) ensure that firewall systems etc allows for remote connections and set up port forwarding in your router if you have such.
