I've recently upgraded my SQLyog “community edition” from 5.15 to 6.06. I downloaded the file on Sep 1st, which was reported to be the stable release, but after the 6.06beta (I believe). By “upgrade”, I simply mean that I downloaded the 6.06 executable and ran it, choosing to install in the same location as the previous version, with no actual uninstall of the previous version. Everything went fine, but I can no longer execute more than 3 or 4 queries before the application hangs, and must be shut down via the Windows Task Manager… or, if I wait long enough it will give me the “SQLYog crashed, and you can find the dump files here…” dialog box

I have not attempted to run any complex queries – everything so far has been simple select statements, with maybe a join or two thrown in for good measure. the queries themselves have all been different and I cannot pin point any one type of query that may cause the crash, unlike what was posted in this post: http://www.webyog.com/forums//index.php?showtopic=3438

I did find a .dmp file, which I will hopefully attach here… I have no idea how to read it.

Currently running Windows XP SP2, with all patches and updates applied automatically with Windows Update.

Edit: Guess I should add that I'm managing a remotely-hosted mySQL server version 4.1.19

      Any thoughts or ideas?

      Thanks,

      Jimmy

Please refer to the release notes of 6.07!

6.07 should solve it. Please try!

Much better! I've been using 6.07 for several hours now, with dozens of queries… no crashes!

      Thanks,

      Jimmy
