I am looking for an OS neutral mysql job scheduling utility. The sqlyog job agent looked like a good fit, but on reading more, it does not appear to be able to run sprocs or sql statements against databases. Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone know of an alternative approach?

I think a 'sproc' is a Stored Procedure?

      SJA consist of 4 'modules':

      *Data sync

      *Migration (ODBC)

      *Scheduled Backup

      *Notifications Services

You can call a 'sproc' from Notifications Services, refer to:

      Yes, sproc = stored procedure.

I only have the community version of sqlyog. Do I need the enterprise version to be able to use job agent?

      Thanks

SJA or Windows comes with SQLyog ENTERPRISE only. SJA for Linux is free.
