      Hello!

      I'm using: Windows 2000 Server SP3, with MySQL 5.0.45 and SQLyog 6.05

I have problems while creating a sql-dump from my database.

The error message “Error No.: 0” appears, and the export tool quits.

      Can anyone help me?

      Thank you

      martin

      1) please answer: does other SQLyog functionalities seem to work OK?

      2) the export tools creates a new connection. Are you able to create a new (identical) connection using Ctrl+N from GUI?

      3) you are sure that you have write privileges where you create the file? is not only a 'stub' of the file created?

      also:

Are you perfectly sure that it is version 6.05 that throws this error? Actually we believe we fixed it earlier in the 6.0x tree. And we cannot reporduce with 6.05.

If you installed different versions to different locations or if 6.05 install was not successful you may have started another version than what you think you did! Please check the version number from 'about' menu!

Definately happening, i am having the same issue.

I have tested and can connect multiple times to the same server and same DB.

      Yes all functionality is 100%

any ideas on what the problem is

I have a way around this by doing a DB transfer to a local mysql db and then i can backup fine, but i would like to backup without having to go throught this extra step.

      thansks,

      @Syphondex

      please answer:

      1) is it happening with all kinds of connections or only some specific type (like SSH, HTTP)

      2) is it happening with every server (in case you have more) or only a specific one.

      3) is it 100% consistently reproducable, or does it happen 'randomly' ?

We cannot reproduce and don't understand how that error could occur here.

If you (either of you) could let us have temporary access to the server(s), then please create a ticket, so that we can exchange details.

We could also give acces to some server of ours so that you could check if it happens for you on this server.

We were able to reproduce this. We have changed a little in the code and it does not happen for us now.

What happend was that we failed to handle the REAL error occurring (“2003, Cant Connect”) properly in that particular situation and then the “error 0” would come instead.

Please check this on your machine when 6.5 RC is out.

The fix was done in 6.5 RC and it really worked for my though I'm using Linux and wine for SQLYOG.

I think for windows, 6.5 RC is good and fixed the bug.

If you do not mind, we would appreciate if you would try 6.5 RC2.
